Take a dip into this week's episode as Mike and Bellamy emerge themselves in the wealth and opulence of lower Manhattan. Follow along with us as we try to track all the hope dreams and aspirations of the twenty something socialites who all look like Zac Efron, Brendon Urie, and Blake Lively. Spoiler alert, it really is Blake Lively. Enjoy our abysmal attempt at trying to figure out the intrigue and social power structure of some of New York's finest (by finest I mean worst) made up families. This episode will have you glued to the edge of your seat with questions like "Will Blair and Daniel ever get together?" "Will Serena and Ben ever get together?" "Are Chuck and Reena going to get together again?" and most perhaps importantly "Why am I still watching this?". With some quippy dialogue delivered at a cadence no normal human speaks at, a couple good natured references to The Shallows, and a fair shake of soap opera squinty stares just off camera, Gossip Girl really captures exactly what it means to be a teen melodrama in the mid two thousands. How you read that last sentence is completely up to you.
*Disclaimer* Gossip Girl doesn't have an opening credits song so I just used one of my favorites from a show we'll never be able to do. Props if you wen't "Hey... isn't that from the OC?"
Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.
