Description

Neal is not only a guest on the podcast, but one of Mark's mentors in the game of lacrosse.  During this episode you will hear from the tremendous amount of passion and energy he brings to the game no matter what level he is coaching or playing at.  Growing up in Wayland MA, Anderson played his first two season of college lacrosse at the University of New Hampshire for the Division 1 program there.  When UNH decided to cut their program, he transferred to Merrimack College, a division 2 school at the time in the Boston area. He served as team captain of the Merrimack squad as a senior, as well as being named an Academic All-American that same season.
Upon graduating, Anderson was selected in the seventh round of the Major League Lacrosse draft by the Boston Cannons. He played in the professional league for seven seasons, splitting time between the Cannons and the Denver Outlaws. Anderson would later earn his master's degree from Boston University in 2006.  Currently coaching his 12th season as the head coach at Norwich University, he had previous stops at Curry College where he served as the Head Coach of men's lacrosse from 2002 to 2005. and as an assistant coach for his alma mater, Merrimack.  Besides these stops, he spent time as a school teacher and as a lacrosse coach in Wayland, MA as well.  Neal is also a familiar face to many kids along the camp circuits in the Massachusetts and Vermont areas as well where he is commonly referred to as Coach Dude!
