Dick Cross was the owner of the Manteca Bowling Alley when I was growing up, in the ’80s. That IS the place where I started seeing street dancing up close on Manteca’s infamous Teen Night Party. He also hired me for my first ever club gig deejaying for a room of people. Prior to that, you’ll hear about Dick and after serving a few years in Germany realized the Army wasn’t for him and came home looking for something outside of the service He started at Libby Owens Ford in Illinois and was transferred to Manteca to work at the LOF Plant in the ’70s. Lots of ups and downs, Life changes, careers, and still on “top” to a young Manteca boy of the ’70s and ’80s, .. me….. I owe a debt of gratitude to this guy who is the star of this week's Man About Town also known as the Manteca Podcast. The one and only Dick Cross
