Ken Huckaby, or as he’s been known around the way “Huck” is a Manteca Buffalo, he loves the sport of baseball and he was an MHS All-League standout football player until an injury that ended any chance of Football again. Once involved in the MHS sports program, mentors like Jack Thomson and Jack Miller saw Kenny rise to Delta college and then a full-ride to Texas to play on the diamond, and he didn’t take it… nope instead he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers and went from Delta Community College to being coached up by the great Tommy Lasorda. For decades Ken Huckaby has played in the major leagues he is in the Manteca Hall Of Fame, and is now at home waiting for the next phone call for “work” as he calls it. He resides in the baseball hotbed, Arizona. Huck is married to Leslie who never heard of Kenny until he brought her home. Here comes a great podcast from a great Mantecan.
