Way back when, in a time far, far away that we call the 1980’s. There was a young ten-year-old girl, who didn’t mind grassy feet, sweating, or playing like the boys. In southeast Manteca, on Powers tract she was jotting down 5 goals she wanted to achieve and shared them with her mother Sharon. She told herself, I will go to college. I will return to Manteca. and I will make a difference in my community by being a teacher of P.E, A coach, and even an administrator, to many. I will raise a family with all my heart, and I will serve the town I love, Manteca. Not too many at that age know so clearly their path in life, all these years later. Her goals have been met and shattered.. She continues to reach for the stars.. She has fortified herself in generations of Mantecan’s and their mental history, from taking tickets at the local swimming pool, McDonald's manager, world-class athlete, a success at everything she does and you may not know she has also played women’s pro tackle football. There are lots about this great Manteca Female who has been breaking boundaries for as long as I can remember. She is a Manteca Hall of Famer and I’ve known her for more than 40 years as a friend. This podcast is searching for these types of women from the past, still around doing what they have always done and this interview hits the target on the bullseye for me. Join me as I welcome Tevani Liotard. Her maiden name was Tevani Scott, she is on my tribute to Manteca that I call the Man About Town Podcast. Follow.. Share..
