Brought To You by TRUSTED SONS-America’s Handyman Company 209 269 2727. When I was a young man growing up here in Manteca there were so many adults involved in the teen programs here and the Park and Rec dept.’s Coaching staff for flag football, city league, basketball, baseball, babe ruth, swimming. There are certain Manteca individuals that were always a part of my growing up due to their involvement in the lives of kids. Making a difference by donating their time or working their job.. or working their job and then coming to coach. It takes a special person.
Deciding at a young age that you were gonna be what would be known as a civil servant.. because you wanted to help uphold the law and tote around a weapon as a policeman. Or a fireman. Those are the titles bestowed but I am unsure that when people sign on that line they learn that they are a civil-servant and to devote all of their time to a city and its youth programs or fire program only to retire, and become the good guy on the city council of the town you grew up in.
Some people are on those types of programs and this weeks guest is right there in the pocket for all the reasons I just mentioned
Family lines run deep in Manteca, dad was a businessman in town. My guest is a Nile garden kid a standout at all things at Manteca High then on to be a dad, grandpa, and continuing to this day serving Manteca in politics after protecting this great hometown of mine as a fireman all these years later still a great guy, interesting and oh the stories.. this week on the Man About Town I am talking to David Breitenbucher it’s his turn up on the Manteca podcast that I call the Man About Town.
