What’s going to happen to the dollar? Is there going to be a full collapse of the dollar, or is the dollar just going to be diminished? Will Joe Biden oversee the collapse of the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency? Around the world, most everything is dominated by U.S. dollars. From oil to gold and other major commodities, the world trades with the U.S. dollar. However, in 2020, the U.S. dollar lost 7% of its buying power. In 2021, it lost 8-9% of its buying power. This year, it looks like it will lose another 11-15%. In these three years alone, the U.S. dollar will have lost close to 30% of the buying power of where it was in 2019. And with Saudi Arabia looking like it might use the Chinese Yuan as the reserve currency to back its oil, there may be no end in sight for how low the U.S. dollar may diminish.
