When You Decide Video Is Not Your Thing
I started this whole journey in may of this year I came across affiliate marketing in general on tick-tock just scrolling tick-tock late at night I found somebody talking about affiliate marketing and it piqued my interest.
I started using Tik Tok for marketing but it wasn’t really working for me. I kept going for a few months but I just wasn’t getting much leads or sales from it.
It started to become clear that I am more of a writer and not really video person and I never really understood what to do on Tik Tok. Tik Tok is all about performing to get attention and I am just not suited to it .
I did a basic course on Facebook marketing and dove straight into it.
I just learned the about Facebook organic in a beginner’s way and I got pretty lucky in my first couple weeks doing it by getting my first high ticket sale ever in 13 days and then my second one 17 days later. It was immediately working much better.
The next step was learning how to make sales more in a one-on-one situation like over zoom and phone calls and not so much in Facebook messenger and so that’s where I am right now.
I have basically just utilized my profile and optimized it to be a funnel essentially where I attract people and if they express interest, I chat to them via Facebook messenger.
It’s all about getting to know the person on a one to one basis. Each person is different so I don’t suggest any one product or service to everybody. Generally we offer a 30 minute Zoom chat to help them further. I send them a Calendly link to book it in and we go from there.
Preparation
Before all of this takes place we need to do a few things to our Facebook profile to put ourselves in a position where all of this can take place. For example you need to give your Facebook profile a makeover and having some nice professional photos with a call to action of some sort.
From there it’s a daily process of posting in such a way that you are demonstrating your authentic personality. It is important that you are honest with whatever stage you may be at. People can tell if you are trying to “Fake it until you make it”. They will respond best if you are being truly authentic and honest.
You want to avoid doing too much hard selling on your profile. You can post positive and inspirational posts for example. You want to achieve two things:
