Something a bit different in this episode, I'm joined by Ben Sullivan, father of The Sullivan Family. The Sullivan Family have appeared on such programmes as Me & My Ten Kids, and Thirty-One Kids & Counting Pennies. They also have a vlogging YouTube channel that has massed a following of three thousand subscribers.
I must admit, I didn't know what to expect from this one. That said, Ben is a very genuine dude and is obviously very creative and committed to what he does. We had a good chat about the family's experience with television, the papers, internet trolls, the origins of how filming their family ventures began which lead into their content gaining interest and what are the upcoming challenges for the family, such as the upcoming rise of living costs just to name a few.
I decided not do any research for this one as I wanted to here from Ben himself on these topics, rather than go back and watch the family's appearances in media and making my own assumptions. I really enjoyed our conversation talking about an area I'm not familiar with, but that's what I love about podcasting, speaking to people from all walks of life regardless if I have any knowledge on what they do or not.
