Description

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that translates to the science of a healthy life and longevity. This traditional medical system of India is a comprehensive health system with the objective of bringing each individual to their unique state of balance. Ayurveda uses the theory of five great elements; ether or space, air, fire, water and earth, to describe principles of how nature functions. These five elemental energies are defined into three essential governing principles known as “doshas.” The doshas represent three sets of physical traits and mental tendencies that combine at conception to form the foundation of our own unique nature.

According to Sarah Kruse, an Ayurvedic Practitioner who has been committed to serving women, the community and world with Ayurveda for over 20 years, through the understanding of doshas, we can successfully maintain a state of health and restore vitality when it has been lost.
