Description

What’s that thing called when black people are erased from aquaculture? Oh, yeah! It's The Race Thing! We sat down with Imani Black, Founder of the nonprofit organization Minorities in Aquaculture, to learn more about her perspective and the history of Black watermen on the Chesapeake Bay. For decades, Black people have cultivated the waters around us, but their stories are rarely told. Imani started asking why there is a lack of non-white women in her career field and she's made it her mission to bring them back into Aquaculture.

Thank you to Jordon Stanley, Kentavius Jones, and Shea Springer for creating our awesome intro song!
