What’s that thing called when we do things for the youth? Oh yeah, it's the race thing! This week, Tori & Heena discuss racial equity work in mentorship and how Talbot Mentors, a non-profit organization in Talbot County, is centering youth in the work that they do. We speak with Gerson Martinez, the Executive Director of Talbot Mentors and a former Capital Markets banker, about his story and perspective. He tells us why it's important to have representation of BIPOC for our youth to learn and grow from, the importance of options, believing in our children, and why youth aren't the future; they are the present.
Thank you to Jordon Stanley & Kentavius Jones for creating our awesome new intro song!
