Born in Jeju Island, Ko Young-rim majored in French Language and Literature and left to study in Franch in 1984. After 12 years, she returned to Korea and returned to her hometown Jeju Island after 27 years. In 2011, she created the Jeju French Film Festival and this year marks its 12th year of the festival.
