Today we’re talking about the misconception that corporations have about Facebook advertising.
This past week I met with a corporation that is considering using Facebook ads to reach their market, but they kept asking, “Can you reach my clients? We are B2B - business to business.”
The answer is “absolutely, we can”. You see, they already do a lot of marketing on LinkedIn, and it works well for them, but they’re missing the leverage that Facebook gives you to continue that conversation in more places than LinkedIn can reach. Plus, it’s been proven again and again that LInkedIn advertising costs 10 times more than FAcebook ads.
As far as B2B goes, all social media marketing is actually PERSON TO PERSON, so as long as you are reaching the right people in the organizations you’re trying to reach in your targeting selections, you absolutely can reach your clients with Facebook marketing.
Another misconception is that Facebook advertising is just another way to get your company name out there. Sure, it is. It’s great for brand awareness, but with Facebook, you can find out WHO is clicking on your ads and going deeper into your funnel. It’s anonymized, but you can then serve up additional advertising to further the conversation to a deeper level. That’s called funneling.
