In “The Two Towers,” Sam encourages his friend Frodo with these words, “there’s some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for.” The Apostle Paul gives us this same encouragement with his words, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Rom 12:9-21). Paul’s advice for how we do so in a complicated word still resonates today.
