At the baptism of Jesus, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and the voice of God the Father said from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.” When we are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we are immersed in the divine relationship of love and God says to us, ‘You are my beloved child, with you I am well pleased.’ May we hear these words as words for us today, and always.
