TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Humility is the foundation and mother of all virtues. Mary's humility and righteousness distinguished her so much so that she recognises that her exalted state is all thanks to God and not in anyway a function of her own uprightness. Nevertheless, given that she was uniquely honoured and exalted by God, she was fervent in righteousness and humility. The greeting of the Archangel Gabriel, that of Elizabeth and Mary's magnificant all point to this fact. We're called upon today to imbibe the virtue of humility and to live in righteousness.
