Welcome Back to the MIGHTY SHOUT OUT PODCAST!
The Muay Thai World Cup finals on Novmeber 25th had the night end in a little confusion, some might even say controversy in the final bout for the One Championship contract in the 155lbs division. Earlier this week we heard from Daniel Kechego - the runner up of this tournament and he gave us his recollection of what happened inside the ring. I was lucky enough to be contacted by the referee of this bout the same day, Mr. Jason Jillain who expressed interest in coming on the podcast and explaining his position as well and why he felt that fight needed to be stopped. I am greatful that the SHOUT OUT PODCAST can help get the answers to the questions we all had the night including myself, especially fresh off of the event itself.
Along with being an official, Jason is a former WMC champion and DECADES long muay thai practitioner. So I took the opportunity to learn about how Jason found martial arts, where on the planet he's fought and what it's like seeing one, but TWO NEW GENERATIONS of fighters growing up.
I appreciate both of these guys willing to discuss this so openly to the public on the podcast - I'd love to have them both on again but maybe under different circumstances next time.
