Description

Closing out our series on the Misfits, we start off with a tiny recap on Static Age and discuss the Fly series that inspired the Misfits Return of the Fly song. THX 1138 and the ominous but obvious meaning of We Are 138. Moving on, we get into Walk Among Us, The Creature Walks Among Us and the American Psycho album. The BAT-RAT-SPIDER and Cinemagic Process from The Angry Red Planet, along with one of our favorites, Ray Harryhausen’s flying saucers in Earth vs the Flying Saucers. A few real life UFO tales and Teenagers from Outer Space, Invaders from Mars (‘53 and ‘86), with the remake focusing on Stan Winston’s creature FX. We also touch on the horrible Astro Zombies film and the Misfits songs they inspired that are so good you can’t help but sing along, same goes with The Brain Eaters.
