According to VietNamNet's sources, the inspection will be carried out starting next week instead of May 15 as first planned. The inspection site will be in Ho Chi Minh City.

The inspection team will include officials of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, Department of Information Security, Department of Telecommunications, Department of Press and the Inspectorate Agency of the Ministry of Information and Communications along with representatives of the HCM City Department of Information and Communications.

Other members will be representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The inspection will focus on TikTok's compliance with Vietnamese laws and regulations. One of the main contents is TikTok's observance of regulations on social networking services for domestic users.

This includes censoring information, authenticating users, preventing and removing information that violates Vietnamese law, and handling user complaints.

The working group will also inspect other activities such as the distribution algorithm, content recommendations for users, and collection, management, storage and use of user data, as well as information safety and network security.
