Several weeks ago on Top Guy Theater, we covered the WWF's offering for September of 1996, In Your House 10: Mind Games(check it out in our archives. It's a FANTASTIC episode) THIS week, We cover what, in September of 1996 is the biggest WCW show ever: Fall Brawl 1996: WarGames, from the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Arena in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with our good friend, Terry Weaver(better known to us as T-Weave). Terry fell out of wrestling in 1999, right as WCW began the plunge off the cliff, but was a HUGE fan of the product here in 1996, and on this night, we see the end of Surfer Sting amid his "betrayal" of the WCW locker room and his jump to the new World order. In addition to the Main Event WarGames match, we also cover contests for the WCW Cruiserweight, World Tag Team, and, in a first, the "Mexican"(AAA) Heavyweight Championship
The long, 15-month road to WCW's BIGGEST SHOW EVER, Starrcade 1997, begins here in Winston-Salem tonight. Some of the biggest players in WCW meet tonight in WARGAMES.. and AWAY. WE. GO!!!
