The underlying truth is that police brutality is one of the most significant indicators that black people aren’t valued in America. Moreover, they have been isolated economically for centuries. African-Americans have been treated poorly time and time again. They have been sprayed with fire hoses, attacked by police dogs, beaten by police and denied their constitutional rights. America has never treated African-Americans with the equal protection under the law. In fact, its been the quite opposite.
So, tonight our panel of subject matter experts will discuss the problem and the solutions to ending what Black America has come to know as Police Brutality, Voter Suppression, and Systemic Racism. And we'll chart down the path of the 2020 Census and its impact on the Black community in the next 10 years.
