Jobenomics – Black Entrepreneurship, the New Small Business Model?
Hello and welcome to the show, I’m your host, KMW. As I do with every show, I pause to thank my L/S Jesus Christ for allowing me to host this show and have this platform to reach millions of Americans across the country to empower them to understand what’s at stake socially, economically and politically in the african american community. So, I am very grateful to be able to share each week and provide valuable insight and information that will enlighten our listeners.
Jobenomics – a play on words, looking to bring jobs to better our economic footprint across America’s urban communities. Bring Jobs to the community, and provide a better economic structure within the community. Will Jobenomics be the new small business model for Black Entrepreneurship? A pathway for women, minorities, and veterans alike. The formation of Jobenomics was the vision of my guest tonight, Mr. Chuck Vollmer, a former Fighter Pilot, Senior Executive with McDonald Douglas, and Partner with Booz Allen Hamilton. Chuck is a entrepreneur by nature. He’s started numbers small businesses and has worked with many foreign nations and governments across the globe.
My other guest is Former District of Columbia City Councilmember Harry Thomas, and President of HLT Development, Inc. HLT, Development uses a grassroots people to people approach that includes communities in shaping their neighborhoods through inclusion in the process. Thomas is also a baseball/softball coach with more than 25yrs of experieince on the high school and collegiate levels, grooming them at the youth level as they advance. Harry also advocates for the Returning Citizens Coalition and Youth at Risk, which also provides opportunities for Jobenomics to explode in the Inner City.
Gentleman, welcome to the show.
