In this episode we discuss the documentary The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping (Netflix) in which protagonist and documentarian, Katherine Kubler, traces her own and others' journey of healing through enduring, living through, and eventually exposing the corrupt and abused 'troubled teen' industry. We reflect on the documentary and the experiences of the children who when to these programs and ask ourselves what the treatment of children in our society tells us about ourselves. It's heavy material and for us it provoked one of the richest and reflective conversations we've had on this podcast. We hope you'll feel the same when you listen.
