Today we’re talking with Irv Relova, who spent 25 years in prison for taking the life of the man who raped his friend who was like a sister. Irv grew up as a child struggling in the Philippines under martial law. He discusses about the crime he committed and his sentence to Life Without the Possibility of Parole. Irv talks about life in prison, his discovery of Buddhist meditation, the turning point he faced, his ultimate release from prison, and his ongoing activism with at-risk youth and his involvement in the Engaged Buddhist Alliance.
