Voice message me!! - What is the thing in your house that belongs to you?
Bed,ulmeera,or some books...things like that?
Well,
There is a little in my house,
That belongs to me.

Except for a couple of clothes, shoes and undergarments that my mom bought for me.
My notebooks,books..the paper on which I wrote my uncompleted poetry.

The little spot in the side of the old ulmeera,
Which my mom brought in dowry,
Where sometimes I lean my back on,
I get embraced and hugged by my grandmother's scent which is of the cows, she raised,
Belongs to me...and yes that ulmeera is still scented by her scent.

The decayed wood affected by termite,
Used in the table,
Used by my grandpa to give support to the paper and imagine triumphs,
While writing a piece of poetry,
And having a warm cup of tea,
Made by my mother,
After he left,
That table,
Belongs to me...

The tears of my parents,
That trickled down from their wrinkled faces,
Forming forhead lines and ugly faces,
Giving them cold and sore throat and aches,
Belongs to me...

The breeze perfumed with petrichor,
That follows my lead,
When I dance along the winds,
On the terrace of my home
Belongs to me..
That breeze belongs to me
Probably what doesn't belongs to me,
Is the dowry I'll take with me,
Which would still not be enough for my husband.

If I see myself as an powerless women,
One day,I'll get beaten to the grounds by my husband,
The bruises will decorate my underwight malnutritioned body,
Those bruisees,
Will not belong to me...
The dowry which I'll take with me,
Which is a result of my mother's and father's sweat and blood,
Won't belong to me...
Probably what belongs to me is my mind that still has the power to think,
The power to observe,
The power to write,
The power to poetry.
