Jonkonnu is one of the oldest dance forms in Jamaica which was performed on the three holidays allowed to the enslaved Africans in the English-speaking Caribbean – Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Tune in now to hear how the Institute of Creative Training & Dev Jamaica is playing their part to shine a light on such a powerful traditional. We were so happy to sit down with their Chairman, Mr. Kenny Salmon.
