Bad combination of a manufactured personality, untreated mental disorders, and a house to himself led John Lawson to rename himself in honor of the demon from The Exorcist and do everything he could to fulfill his self-appointed role as a tool of the Devil himself. Carving his teeth into points, splitting his tongue like a serpent, and covering his body head-to-toe with satanic messages and imagery wasn't hardcore enough for John...or Pazuzu as he would have you call him.
The whole thing would be pretty cringe, until word got around that Pazuzu had buried a few dead bodies in his backyard.
