We are often told that happiness is a choice. That's why we encourage people to "choose happiness" or "live your best life." But it's not that easy, right? No matter how simple the words may sound the action is not simple at all. Even if you want to be happy, you can't always make yourself feel good. There are plenty of reasons, legitimate reasons, why some people aren't happy: they may have bad relationships, they're in bad jobs or they're struggling with mental health issues.
