High Spirits- Tackling substance abuse.
To kick things off on our next step (Step3), I decided to break the ice and share a true life experience. While I was travelling from Manhattan on a Number 3 train heading to New Lots Brooklyn, I noticed the smell of liquor drenching my nostrils. It was so strong that it permeated every pair of nostrils that breathe within a 10 feet perimeter in the train. I turned only to see a young man, good looking, neatly dressed, about 24 years old, sipping his 'colored' drinks from a beat up Poland spring water bottle. Our engaging conversation addressed the need to seek help whenever we are faced with problems. Substance abuse is a growing problem among our youths...
This could be a lesson to business owners as often times we are tempted by habits that could be detrimental to our business and personal lives. Until we acknowledge our faults and seek ways to recify our problems, we will be more than conquerors!
