People just want to be heard. It's simple. 

It's not easy to stay consistent, though. Gaining your employee's trust doesn't happen immediately, and it takes consistency and courage. 

Biggest takeaway: Reserve the first 15 minutes of your weekly team meetings to chat about things other than work. Be intentional about it.
