MATEO CHAVEZ LEWIS (He/They) is an NYC-based performer, singer, actor, songwriter and pianist. He is best known for his critically acclaimed performance as Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet at the Arts Club Theatre Company on Granville Island, and for his earth-shaking performance of his original song, “Dear Greta” (you can listen to the professional recording of the song here). He performed at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, as Jinx in Forever Plaid (pictured right). He wrote the Book, Music & Lyrics to Boys Don’t Cry, a new musical which premiered at the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival. He can also often be found performing as Lady & the Rambler, alongside Canadian comedy & cabaret legend Mandy Goodhandy, and performing weekly at the Jean Darlene Piano Room.Mateo has quickly established himself as a leading composer and performer throughout Canada, and is now bringing his talent and passion to the vibrant theatre community of New York City.
