Description

Romans 8:1 (NKJV) says:

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Romans 8:14-17 (NKJV) says:

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."

Fear is often the root of condemnation. Fear causes us to have an unhealthy perspective of God. When we do not understand God's love for us, the enemy can use this to cause us to think less of ourselves, and not come into our identity as sons and daughters of Abba, Father. When we close the door to condemnation and study the Word, fast, and pray, we will come into the full knowledge of God's love for us and be secure in our identity, being image bearers of Christ!

In Part 1 of this episode, I speak with Danielle Unger who shares some of her story about her process with overcoming self-condemnation. You will hear about: her experiences in church as a young girl, her perspective of God and church early on and feeling like an outsider, her motive behind getting baptized at 12 years old without understanding the true meaning of baptism, the reasons behind why she experienced a rough transition from high school to college, how things took a turn once she realized the presence of evil in her life, how depression and anxiety heightened in her life after taking prescription meds for her skin, how unhealthy thinking and demonic thoughts about God eventually led her to take anti-depressants, how she met her future husband through social media while studying abroad in Colombia, how God pursued her the same night she became engaged while in an ungodly relationship, and more!
