Author, Mentor, Optometrist, and speaker Luke Mathers shares his incredible journey to the top as well as his insightful opinions on stress & anxiety in the modern world.
Luke Mathers didn’t read his first book until he was grade 9, he didn’t have natural ability when it came to sport, nor did he let that stop him in the real world. Going on to complete his university degree as an optometrist where he later moved to the UK to invest his knowledge and time into the franchise store SpecSavers. Coming back to Australia cashed up and ready to retire at age 31 you would think Luke was happy as a pig in shit.
“My marriage was on the rocks, I was smoking way too much pot and I had a hypomanic episode; after a sleepless two weeks where I lost 12kg the experts came into work and gave me 2 choices, both of which led to me being in a mental health institute for several days. I had a mental health episode but I don’t have a mental health issue” Luke says as we dive into his beliefs with feelings and emotions not being your personality or a part of your identity.
Luke Mathers has asked the same questions 9.5million times “do those letters look better like this or like this?”, he has cured people's eyes and made millions of dollars. All of this has led Luke to his current path where his passion now is for helping individuals and businesses work better with stress. He does this through his book “Stress Teflon” with stress-functioning workshops and guest speaking appearances or his Prymal Reset retreats that give you an open space to change.
