Day jobs are not the funniest thing in the world to people that want to pursue anything else. The best day job is still the worst job ever because it is simply not the thing a person wants in life. In life some people have jobs or careers which provide fulfillment that makes everything fine, but other people, artist, students, or just nomads have to get a day job in order to live a life in the world without dying.
