Local anesthesia is widely used for many dental procedures to ensure patient comfort and provider accessibility. It provides the ability for patients to relax during procedures known to cause discomfort. As a dental hygienist, having the ability to provide local anesthesia opens up so many doors in the area of patient care. In this episode, we will look at some of the main components of pain management as it relates to patient care for the dental hygiene student.
