In this episode we will discuss the tooth development process and the stages of development involved in the process. It is important for the dental clinician to have knowledge on this topic to be able to recognize and understand abnormal dental conditions that can present in the clinical setting. We will discuss dental anomalies in a different episode, but I recommend you understand this information prior to trying to grasp dental anomalies. We will review each stage in the development process and discuss how each stage builds on the previous stage to create a seamless and efficient transition from initiation to apposition and to final eruption and root formation.
