There are long standing debates around the blood pressure lowering treatment in elderly patients. Fortunately more and more clinical trials includes older populations. The emerging data has been discussed during the interesting session of the recent European Society of Hypertension 2022 annual congress in Athens. We asked Professor Athanase Benetos who chaired the session to share the key massefges to the audience.
