In today's message we look at the chaotic wars that God informs Daniel about, and from this section I discuss three things to remember when we are faced with a chaotic future.

Daniel has received prophecies of total and chaotic war. And yet how often does God reassure him, strengthen him, and protect him? Our past is full of violence and war, and our future on earth certainly holds the same. Yet God wants us to know real, genuine peace. First of all we will take a quick look at the prophecy (our past, Daniel's future) and from this we will learn three lessons of how we can know Real Peace, even in a time of chaos.

I. The Prophecy or History?

A. Coming Persian Kings Daniel 11:2

B. Coming Grecian Kings Daniel 11:3-4

C. Chaos of Grecian Kings 11:5-20

1. Seleucus I and Ptolemy I 11:5

2. Antiochus II vs Ptolemy II 11:6

3. Seleucus II vs Ptolemy III 11:7-9

4. Antiochus III vs. Ptolemy IV 11:10-12

5. Antiochus III vs Ptolemy V 11:13-19

6. Seleucus IV vs Judea 11:20

II. Peace or Chaos?

We can have Godly peace in the midst of total chaos. Because in the battles we face, remember the Victor…

A. The Truth vs. The Lie 11:2 – truth will win.

1. Led in Truth Psalm 25:5

2. God’s Word is Truth John 17:14-19

3. Speak Truth Eph 4:15

4. Handle Truth 2 Timothy 2:15

B. Self Will vs. God's Will 11:3 – God will win.

1. Lucifer rebelled against God – Isaiah 14.13-14

2. Man rebelled against God, Genesis 3

3. God’s Will Prevails Jeremiah 29:10-14

C. Human kings vs. God’s King, 11:2-20

1. The Nations Plot Against God, Psalm 2

2. Trust the Right King, Psalm 146

We can have absolute, God-given peace even during the most chaotic times…

… Because we are looking ahead to the ultimate victory of Christ! Revelation 19:11-16
