JD Runnels is on week one of his new coaching job as the Running backs coach of the USFL team, the Houston Gamblers. JD moved through the ranks quickly. He had a very successful playing career going from Carl Albert to OU and then being drafted by the Chicago Bears. He started his coaching career at the middle school level and has jumped from to the college ranks and not onto a new professional league.
