Daily Devotion:
“Being Positive in Every Situation That Arises..."
Acts 17:11
The Passion Translation
11 They found that the Jews of Berea were of more noble character and much more open minded than those of Thessalonica. They were hungry to learn and eagerly received the word. Every day they opened the scrolls of Scripture to search and examine them, to verify that what Paul taught them was true.
The Bible says that we are to have a ready mind. That means we can have minds that are open to the will of God for us, whatever His will may be. I once spoke with a young lady who experienced the sorrow of a broken engagement. Having a positive mind says, “I’m really sad this happened, but I’m going to trust God. I’m going to ask and believe for our relationship to be restored; but more than anything, I want God’s perfect will. If it doesn’t turn out the way I want, I’ll survive, because Jesus lives in me. It may be hard, but I trust the Lord. I believe that in the end, everything will work out for the best.”
Practice being positive in every situation that arises. God has promised to bring good out of whatever is taking place in your life at the moment.
