"Courage in the Presence of God"

Deuteronomy 31:6

New Living Translation

6 So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 states, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” This powerful verse speaks to the heart of God’s promise to His people, especially during times of uncertainty and fear.

In the context of Deuteronomy, Moses is preparing the Israelites to enter the Promised Land and is aware of the challenges they will face. His encouragement to be strong and courageous is not just a motivational speech; it's a divine assurance from God Himself. The Israelites were about to confront formidable enemies and daunting circumstances, but God reassures them of His constant presence and support.

As believers today, we can draw strength from this promise. In our own lives, we encounter various fears—from personal struggles to societal challenges. God calls us to trust in His unwavering presence. By anchoring ourselves in His word, we can face our fears with courage, knowing that He is with us every step of the way.
