Micah 5:7

Living Bible

7 Then the nation of Israel will refresh the world like a gentle dew or the welcome showers of rain,

Micah promises the people of Judah that God wouldn´t destroy them forever. The remnant of Jacob will be in
the midst of many people when Messiah reigns in Jerusalem. That´s a promise that, surely, encouraged their hearts.

We have seen also in history how this promise has been fulfilled. All the Scriptures we have in the book of Acts tell us about Jews who came to the feet of Jesus and dwelled among foreign people. We read about synagogues in Thessalonica and Corinth, both Greek cities. We read familiar names like Aquila and Priscilla, Jews who lived in
Rome, and Apollos, a Jew from Alexandria, Egypt.

Jews have been persecuted in awful ways through history. Still, they are in many countries around the world, living in different places and cultures but keeping their Jewish traditions and way of living. God has taken care of them.
