Daily Devotion:
"Doubt your Doubts ..."
John 6:29
New International Version
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Are you a believing believer, or a doubtful believer? Simple childlike faith produces a lot of good fruit.
For example, joy and peace are found in believing (Romans.15:13). Doubt, reasoning, worry, and fear produce all kinds of misery, but it all can be avoided by making a decision to believe the Word of God.
Believe that something good is going to happen to you. Believe that when you repent, your sins are completely forgiven. Believe that God wants to meet all of your needs, that He loves you and is always willing to help you. When we believe, then we can enter the rest of God and really enjoy each day of our lives. We can take life one day at a time and trust that our future is secure in God. If you are going to doubt anything, doubt your doubts!
