Daily Devotion:
"Empowered for Purpose”
Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
As we anticipate the celebration of the Holy Spirit’s empowerment at Pentecost, it's vital to remember that thissame Spirit is available to us today. We are called not only to experience this power for ourselves but also to be witnesses of God’s love, mercy, and truth.
Reflect on how the early church boldly shared the gospel after receiving the Holy Spirit. What walls in your life need to be broken down for you to fulfill your calling? How can youshare the message of Jesus with those around you, empowered by the Spirit?
Ephesians 3:20-21 Reflect on the power of God that works within us and ask how you might allow this power to move through your actions and words. -2 Timothy 1:7 “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Meditate on eliminating fear from your life and leaning into the Spirit's comfort and strength.
