Continue praying, keeping alert, and always Thanking God.
One of the lost arts of civility and friendship is the hand-written note. It seemingly takes forever to write out a note of gratitude in a technologically advanced world where we can tap out a few letters-not necessarily spelled correctly on our cell phone or laptop and send an instant message to our friends and family. But the real tragedy is when we lose our sense of gratitude for others and for God. What happens when vibrant, active, kind, fun, different-making individuals lose the wonder of gratitude? Almost Overnight you see a change of expression and feel the shrinking of the soul. What is the cure for anger, bitterness, resentment, jealousy, low self-esteem, a quarreling spirit, and other modern maladies? Simple. Express thanks! Instead of buying into the advertising of a consumer culture, we need to begin focusing Continue praying, keeping alert, and always Thanking God.
