"Glorious Rest..."
Daniel 12:13

13 “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
If one lives long enough, advancing age has a way of becoming a battle for survival. Body parts just don't work like they used to. The mind itself begins to play tricks. And gone is the energy and strength of youth! If you don't yet know what it means to feel worn out all over, that day is likely to come. In the end we all need a good long rest. And that is God's promise. But resting forever would find us “asleep" forever, and that simply won't do. If there is a resting, there is also a rising! As soldiers of the cross, what could be more welcome than that glorious Rest.
The challenging question is: If I look forward to the day of my rising, Doing look forward with equal excitement to my destined period of rest?
