"God's Steadfast Hand"
Psalm 37:23-24
New Living Translation
23 The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Psalm 37:23-24 (NIV) states, "The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand." This passage beautifully illustrates the assurance we have in God when we live a life that pleases Him.
The foundation of our faith rests on God's guidance and support. When we delight in the Lord—through prayer, worship, and obedience—He establishes our steps. This does not mean we won't face difficulties or stumble; rather, it assures us that even in our weaknesses, God is there to uphold us.
In life, we often face trials that can cause us to feel lost or overwhelmed. But just as a parent supports a child learning to walk, so does God lift us up when we falter. It's a reminder
that our strength comes not from ourselves, but from our relationship with the Lord.
As we go through this week, let us remember to delight in the Lord, trusting that He will direct our paths and catch us when we fall.
