The Passion Translation
23 Listen to the truth I speak to you: Whoever says to this mountain with great faith and does not doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea, and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.
People think that life is complicated, but oftentimes we are the ones who make things more complicated than they need to be. Living for God really isn’t that complicated at all.
Think about the simple, uncomplicated approach a child has to life. Children are going to have fun and enjoy themselves no matter what. They are joyful, carefree, and completely without concern. And children believe what they are told. It is their nature to trust completely and enjoy their life on a daily basis. The closer we grow to God, the more childlike we can become. Of course, God wants us to be mature in our behavior, but He also desires for us to have an attitude of trust and dependence toward Him that is simple and childlike in nature.
When God speaks to your heart or when you read something in the Bible, you can simply say, “I trust God and I believe it’s true!” It’s that simple. If God says He will prosper me, I trust God and believe it’s true! If God says He will heal me, I trust God and believe it’s true! If God says He will help me forgive those who hurt me, I trust God and believe it’s true. If God says He is with me and I’m never alone, I trust God and believe it’s true!
The simplest thing you can do is decide to trust God and obey His Word in every area of your life.
