"Not A Spirit of Fear but A Spirit of Power"
2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
What scares you? Most people could come up with a few fears pretty quickly. Are you afraid of sky scrapers, smallspaces, or spiders?
Perhaps you fear being alone, being insignificant, or never quite finding your purpose in life. Whatever it is that causes fear to enter your spirit, there is one trait That is common tothem all: if it causes you fear, it isn't from God. Perhaps that's why the psalmist declared that he would not fear (Psalm118:6) and why every gospel includes a command from Jesus to not fear (Matthew 10:26; Mark 6:50; Luke 12:4;John 14:27). Peter, when writing to those in exile, encouraged them to not be afraid (1 Peter 3:14).
For many of us, it's a constant battle. Each day, we must make a choice; we must choose joy over fear. Living unafraid is a huge step to living joyfully.
